Responsibilities

Learn, understand, and work towards fulfilling our mission, which is to help our clients secure their financial well-being so they can pursue long and fulfilling lives; and execute on our business strategies
Gain real world experience by working in different roles and business areas at Equitable
Participate in a vigorous learning and development program, focusing on industry and business knowledge as well as technical skills
Build relationships with senior executives at Equitable through one on one mentorship
Network with senior leaders across the organization
Work in three areas for six months each: the Innovation and Design Office, the Finance Department, and one of our commercial businesses

Required

Recently earned (within 1-2 years) Bachelor's degree
Accountability: Understanding the importance of taking personal responsibility; ability to take personal responsibility for assignments, decisions and results, and focus on activities that have the greatest impact on meeting work commitments
Cross-functional Collaboration: Knowledge of collaborative techniques and approaches; ability to promote a culture of continuous improvement and working together across functions to solve business problems and meet business goals
Data Gathering and Analysis: Knowledge of data gathering and analysis tools, techniques and processes; ability to gather and analyze data on the learning needs of a target population
Effective Communications: Understanding of effective communication concepts, tools and techniques; ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviors
Effective Presentations: Knowledge of effective presentation tools and techniques; ability to present information to groups with the appropriate degree of formality
Planning and Organizing: Knowledge of the process of planning and arranging tasks and resources; ability to plan and organize both time and resources to get things completed while structuring and maintaining work in a systematic and highly methodical way
Problem Solving: Knowledge of approaches, tools, techniques for recognizing, anticipating, and resolving organizational, operational or process problems; ability to apply knowledge of problem solving appropriately to diverse situations
Storytelling: Knowledge of concepts and ability to plan, create and present business proposals, initiatives and ideas by storytelling actual business scenarios that are situation-specific, engaging, memorable and persuasive as compared to one-way, fact-based presentations
Written Communications: Knowledge of written communications issues; ability to produce a variety of business documents that demonstrate command of language, clarity of thought, orderliness of presentation while communicating ideas, information and requirements effectively
