Senior Guidewire Policycenter Developer
Northwest Partners is looking for a Guidewire PolicyCenter Developer who’s passionate about leveraging enterprise platforms to optimize insurance technology solutions. This role will support and lead initiatives across multiple areas of PolicyCenter and its integrations, working with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable solutions and improvements.
Responsibilities
Provide technical support for various PolicyCenter functions and integrations
Develop, document, and execute unit test cases
Deliver quality and timely results in a collaborative environment
Own and resolve complex technical issues related to applications and processes
Review and recommend test plans for impacted areas, ensuring end-to-end coverage
Recommend and implement process improvements for quality deliverables
Ensure code and batch processes meet standards for accuracy and maintainability
Consult with internal stakeholders on the use and optimization of application technologies
Lead projects across disciplines, coordinating resources and technical direction
Research, evaluate, and support proof-of-concept activities for new technologies
Develop and secure sign-offs on technical specifications and design documents
Mentor teams on long-term solutions for recurring issues and defect reduction
Guide developers to adhere to technical design and coding standards
Lead successful completion of key project phases and deliverables
Qualification
Required
Minimum 8 years of software development experience
Bachelor's degree, technical certification, or equivalent experience
5 years of experience with the Guidewire Insurance Suite
At least 3 years of continuous PolicyCenter development experience
Strong background in P&C insurance systems, preferably Non-Standard Auto
Proficient in Java/Spring, JavaScript, HTML/CSS, Angular, Hibernate, SQL, JSON/XML, REST services, Git/SVN, Jenkins, Oracle
Experience with cloud development and deployment practices
Deep understanding of Gosu and related technologies
Demonstrated leadership in application development and support projects
Familiarity with both agile and waterfall methodologies
Experience translating business needs into technical requirements
Knowledge of technical controls, security standards, and SOX compliance
Preferred
Guidewire Certified Ace preferred
