Health Information Technology Trainer (End-User Education)
University of Michigan Health – Sparrow is seeking a Health Information Technology Trainer to educate end users on healthcare applications and workflows, with a strong focus on EHR systems. This role involves delivering training, creating materials, and supporting users during system go-lives.
Responsibilities
Deliver instructor-led and virtual training for end users on healthcare applications and EHR workflows
Create and update training materials such as guides, handouts, and assessments
Support system go-lives by assisting users in real-time
Partner with IT and clinical teams to ensure training aligns with current workflows
Track training completion and assess user readiness
Qualification
Required
Experience in delivering instructor-led and virtual training for end users on healthcare applications and EHR workflows
Ability to create and update training materials such as guides, handouts, and assessments
Experience in supporting system go-lives by assisting users in real-time
Ability to partner with IT and clinical teams to ensure training aligns with current workflows
Experience in tracking training completion and assessing user readiness
Strong communication skills
Experience in teaching adults
Preferred
Experience as an educator, trainer, or facilitator transitioning into healthcare IT
Experience as an EHR or application trainer focusing on end-user education
