Fiscal & Business Spec

The University of South Florida Libraries is part of a large academic institution dedicated to student success. The Fiscal & Business Specialist role focuses on maintaining financial accuracy and compliance through comprehensive pre-audit reconciliation processes across multiple fund ledgers.

Higher Education

Responsibilities

Prepares audit-ready reconciliation packets for non-E&G fund ledgers, department ledgers (including expenses and revenues) across all funds, and Foundation fund ledgers. Compiles audit-ready documentation packages using University ledgers and transaction source documents; identifies, researches, and resolves discrepancies, and routes to department leadership for final approval
Initiates journal entries and cost adjustments as directed and submits for review
Assists with electronic filing, routes various documents for review/signature, maintains and updates logs and databases related to job duties. Communicates with internal and external stakeholders to ensure proper and timely completion of tasks
Performs other duties as assigned

Required

High School diploma or equivalent with three years of work experience in positions with fiscal support duties
College or other relevant post-secondary coursework may substitute for the experience requirement on a year for year basis

Preferred

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or other business-related field and three years of professional fiscal experience
