The main purpose of the role is to develop automated programs, coordinate system interfaces, and ensure adherence to development processes while providing support for corporate function systems.
Information Technology
Responsibilities
Develop automated programs to meet design specifications and business requirements
Research and evaluate alternatives, analyze complexity and feasibility, and recommend optimal solutions
Coordinate interfaces between systems and applications for smooth interoperability
Participate in technical planning, including task estimation, scheduling, and dependency management
Create and execute test plans, build test data, and validate processes in compliance with established standards
Deliver assigned projects successfully, including detailed program documentation and regular progress updates to management
Ensure adherence to development life cycle processes and coding standards
Provide support for various corporate function systems
Availability for off-hours work as needed (24/7 support environment)
Qualification
Required
Development experience with Mainframe technologies including: COBOL, Easytrieve, JCL, scheduling, etc
Strong technical writing and communication skills (written and verbal)
Ability to translate technical concepts into business terms
Capability to be onsite in Milwaukee, Wisconsin - this role is onsite
