Responsibilities

Serves as the Counter Unmanned/ Counter Uncrewed Systems (C-UxS) manager responsible for coordinating and executing C-UxS operations and programs

Serves as the USNORTHCOM C-UxS Operational Planning Subject Matter Expert (SME)

Provides operations support to the Joint Counter-small Unmanned Aircraft Systems (C-SUAS) Office (JCO)

Represents USNORTHCOM at C-UxS conferences, executive sessions, events, symposia, site visits and participates in operations that relate to C-UxS mission directives

This position is designated by the Air Force as a Test Designated Position (TDP) under the Air Force Civilian Drug Testing Program. As a mandatory requirement for employment in this TDP, the incumbent is (A) to refrain from use of illegal drugs and (B) if required, to submit to urinalysis testing

Ability to react in a high stress environment to intense domestic event situations, make critical characterization judgments, formulate recommendations that may have major national impact/consequences and transmit those recommendations clearly and concisely to possibly the highest civilian authority in the Government

Knowledge of military law and doctrine; Joint policies and procedures; DoD, Services and Joint organizational structures; national intelligence organizations and other pertinent interagency organizations, including the relationships of the various Combatant Command's missions and organizations and their respective agents for those commands involvement on the overall planning and execution of military operations and evaluations

Knowledge of military strategic and tactical concepts, principles, processes in all domains to include air, land, maritime, cyber, and space domain planning and operational execution

Knowledge in gathering, assembling, and analyzing facts, drawing conclusions, conducting analyses, devising recommended solutions, and packaging the entire process in briefings, papers, or reports to be used at the COCOM/Federal Department/State Executive level to enable senior executive and National decisions

Knowledge in conducting and leading operations and planning within a Combatant Command headquarters. Skill in oral and written communication in order to negotiate and defend ideas and support operational concepts

Experience in applying Executive Leadership competencies within complex organizations, to include strategic thinking, team building, problem solving, human capital management, and partnering

Applicants must have at least one (1) year of specialized experience at the next lower grade GS-13, or equivalent in other pay systems
