NEOGOV is seeking compassionate individuals to join the Department of Human Services as Residential Service Aides. In this role, you will provide essential support and care to residents, helping them achieve personal goals and improve their quality of life at Selinsgrove Center.

Responsibilities

Create, implement, and oversee treatment, training, and related services for residents

Deliver treatment and training in self-care, socialization, and health maintenance according to individual support plans

Contribute to improving the living environment by selecting furniture and equipment and assisting with purchasing and placing personal items

Ensure residents have choices in their daily activities, balancing risk with opportunities for personal growth

Qualification

Intellectual disabilitiesAide Trainee program completionSelf-care assistanceDocumentation skillsCompassionate care

Required

Successful completion of the Aide Trainee program (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or

Six months of paid experience in the care, activities, and personal guidance of individuals with intellectual disabilities

You must meet the PA residency requirement

You must be able to perform essential job functions

A conditional offer of employment will require a medical examination and a drug screening

This position falls under the provisions of the Older Adult Protective Services Act. Under the Act, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports, including but not limited to, PA State Police and FBI clearance
