Responsibilities
Analyzing data related to speed limits, the implementation of multi-way stops, and the enforcement of turn and truck restrictions
Assessing street configurations, such as the establishment of one-way and two-way streets, as well as conducting studies on passing zones and truck climbing lanes
Evaluating intersection safety, stopping sight distances, and identifying hazardous walking routes
Carrying out mid-block crosswalk studies and other investigations aimed at enhancing operational safety within the traffic system
Qualification
Required
One year as a Traffic Control Specialist Trainee (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
Two years as a Traffic Control Technician (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
One year of experience in traffic control work; and a Bachelor's Degree in mathematics, civil engineering, or a closely related field; or
An equivalent combination of experience and training
This particular position requires possession of a valid driver's license
You must meet the PA residency requirement
You must be able to perform essential job functions
