Knowledge Management Consultant, Office of Director, PG-Health, NYHQ, remote. Req# 589089

The Knowledge Management Consultant will support the achievement of health outcomes by developing and implementing a Knowledge Management Strategy to enhance collaboration and knowledge sharing across UNICEF's health workforce and external platforms.

Strengthened knowledge exchange and collaboration across UNICEF Health platforms
Streamlined and user-friendly access to Health-related knowledge assets
Enhanced external visibility and dissemination of UNICEF Health knowledge
Improved evidence-based knowledge management and thought leadership
Strengthened KM capacity within the UNICEF Health CoE and Country Office community
Effective knowledge transfer between HQ and the Health Centers of Excellence
Timely and high-quality coordination of Health corporate reporting inputs
Develop Health Knowledge Management Strategy aligned to the new strategic plan
Initial draft of Knowledge Management Strategy
Health Knowledge Management Strategy developed and implemented; Final Health Knowledge Management Strategy presented to the Health CoE in all staff meeting and shared on SharePoint as guidance document
Develop and disseminate external health newsletters and draft key messages for events/meetings
6 external newsletters published
At least 4 key messages briefs drafted
Develop and disseminate internal health newsletters
5 internal newsletters that include CO and CoE story highlights developed and published on SharePoint and Yammer
Internal newsletter with a recap of the Global Health Network Meeting
Health KM KPIs
4 KM KPIs published
Update and manage Health SharePoint Pages and database
12 maintenance reports of Health SharePoint pages and databases (Health knowledge base, guidance and tools database, webinar database, E-learning library, case study, videos and stories database) prepared
At least 12 individual support requests from teams are completed
Update unicef.org Health Programme pages within DGCA policies
At least one annual and four ad hoc updates of each Health Programme Page on unicef.org implemented
At least 10 Health products published on unicef.org, followed by quality assurance and facilitation of clearance process
Maintenance of Knowledge@UNICEF platform for PG-Health
Participate in 12 UNICEF KM focal point meetings and provide Health updates, table issues, and seek guidance
Quality assure and publish at least 5 products on the platform (once platform launched)
Coordinate KM Transfer to the CoE
Organize 2 internal workshops and at least 10 troubleshooting requests completed
Coordinate Health GARR and RAM inputs
Organize a SharePoint space and collect Health input into the GARR and RAM
Organize documentation and learnings from major Health Events
Document learnings and summaries of 4 major internal and external Health Meetings (Health Network Meeting, G7/G20, WHA, WHS) for dissemination
Support in reorganization of Health Office of Director managed SharePoint spaces
Health Resource Mobilization SharePoint Site and Partner directory updated with latest information and related resources organized
Qualification
Required
Communications, journalism, social sciences, public health, international development or related degree
Minimum two years of experience in knowledge management, and utilization of specific knowledge management platforms, as well as development of KM guidelines and approaches is required
Strong communication skills (written and oral), with track record of writing and editing content for knowledge platforms
Good level of digital literacy and familiarity with digital tools UNICEF uses and available KM resources: Digital tools: Power BI Dashboards, Microsoft 365 apps (Word; Excel; PowerPoint; SharePoint, including collaboration sites; Yammer; Teams; etc.)
Excellent interpersonal skills and demonstrated experience working in a multicultural environment
Commitment to UNICEF's mission and core values
Preferred
Previous UNICEF experience and knowledge of UNICEF's internal applications (Drupal, SharePoint) is an asset
Knowledge of another official UN language (Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian or Spanish) or a local language is an asset
