Responsibilities

Source, evaluate, and negotiate contracts with cross-border trucking, freight forwarding, and logistics service providers (USA–LATAM)
Manage procurement activities for road transportation, customs-related services, and last-mile partners where applicable
Develop and maintain a strong vendor network across Mexico and LATAM corridors, especially cross-border routes via Laredo
Monitor supplier performance, pricing, SLAs, and KPIs; drive continuous cost optimization initiatives
Coordinate closely with Operations, Finance, and Compliance teams to ensure smooth cross-border movements
Ensure procurement activities comply with USMCA, customs regulations, and internal policies
Analyze market trends, freight rates, fuel surcharges, and capacity availability
Support RFPs, RFQs, and contract renewals for logistics vendors
Resolve vendor issues related to service failures, claims, or compliance gaps

Required

Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, or a related field
3–6 years of procurement experience in international logistics or transportation
Strong hands-on experience with USA–LATAM trade lanes (especially USA–Mexico)
Solid understanding of cross-border road transportation, customs clearance, and freight documentation
Proven negotiation skills with trucking companies, 3PLs, and freight forwarders
Experience working with vendors based in Texas border hubs (Laredo preferred)
Proficient in MS Excel; experience with ERP or procurement systems is an advantage
Fluent in English; Spanish is highly preferred

Preferred

Experience in e-commerce, last-mile, or fast-paced logistics environments
Prior exposure to high-volume cross-border operations
