Responsibilities
Serve as the interim or fractional CFO for multiple clients across diverse industries
Lead the development and execution of financial strategies aligned with client business goals
Oversee and improve financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management
Provide strategic guidance on capital structure, financing, mergers & acquisitions, and risk management
Develop and utilize forward-looking, predictive models and activity-based financial analysis to provide insight into the organization’s operations and business plans
Lead and oversee software and ERP integrations to ensure smooth adoption and optimization of financial systems
Advise and work directly with client Boards of Directors on financial strategy, governance, and performance
Act as engagement manager—owning client project delivery, profitability, and team leadership
Train and mentor internal client staff to strengthen finance and accounting capabilities
Continually advise on and implement best practices for client accounting and finance departments
Identify and implement process improvements to enhance financial performance and operational efficiency
Operate under the highest standards of courtesy, professionalism, and ethics in all client and internal interactions
Collaborate with partners to identify and pursue new client opportunities
Participate in proposal development, client pitches, and presentations
Leverage professional network to generate leads and referrals
Act as a thought leader through content creation, speaking engagements, and industry events to enhance brand visibility
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field; MBA, CPA, or CFA preferred
15+ years of progressive financial leadership experience, with prior CFO or senior finance executive roles
Previous experience working for a consulting firm, professional services firm, or in a client-facing advisory capacity is required
Proven experience leading software integrations, ERP implementations, and financial systems upgrades
Demonstrated success in both client service delivery and business development
Proven track record working across multiple industries (consulting experience strongly preferred)
Experience collaborating with and presenting to Boards of Directors
Strong leadership and team development skills, with the ability to coach and mentor staff at all levels
Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and strategic thinking skills
Strong executive presence with excellent communication and presentation abilities
Ability to manage multiple client engagements simultaneously and thrive in fast-paced, changing environments
Preferred
