Administrative Project Specialist - Engineering/Recreation
Muskingum Watershed Conservancy District is seeking an Administrative Project Specialist to provide administrative support to the Chief of Engineering, the Chief of Recreation, and other staff. The role involves composing correspondence, maintaining filing systems, and assisting with construction administration duties.

Responsibilities
Provides administrative support to the Chief of Engineering, the Chief of Recreation, the Deputy Chief of Ranger Operations, and other engineering and recreation staff as needed
Assigned duties include, but are not limited to, composing and preparing correspondence, organizing and maintaining engineering, recreation, and law enforcement filing systems, which encompass both electronic and hard-copy files and databases, thereby enhancing overall efficiency
Supervises a variable status Clerical Assistant
Works closely with Engineering Project Managers and the Construction Coordinator to assist with construction administration duties. These duties include, but are not limited to: advertising, plan ordering, bidding, awarding bids, contract execution, progress monitoring, schedule analysis, processing final contract closeout documentation, coordinating prevailing wage information from contractors, and maintaining accurate project tracking systems
Monitors and responds to engineering and recreation department phone calls, emails, and other correspondence as directed; responds to inquiries for the engineering and recreation department staff from internal staff members, vendors, contractors, consultants, and the general public by providing information and facilitating problem resolution
Enters requisitions and purchase orders for the recreation department and the Deputy Chief of Ranger Operations. Assists with entering requisitions and purchase orders for the engineering department
Performs day to day administrative tasks for the Deputy Chief of Ranger Operations (e.g., uniform ordering, training records, records/certifications, etc); performs daily mail sorting; orders supplies
Prepares documents (e.g., memos, contracts, and reports) for the Board
Maintains required licensures and certification, if any
Meets all job safety requirements and all applicable safety standards that pertain to essential functions
Demonstrates regular and predictable attendance
Performs other related duties as assigned
Attends meetings, as directed; attends training and seminars, as directed
Qualification
Required
Possession of a Associate's Degree in Business Management or Construction Management, Secretarial Science or related field
six (6) or more months of related experience
any equivalent combination of education, experience, and/or training which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the essential functions of this position
