Research Lab Tech I

Responsibilities
Collection of and accurate recording of procedures and results
Maintenance of databases used in the lab
Ordering necessary reagents to conduct experiments
Participation in joint upkeep of the lab
Optimize antibodies and perform immunohistochemical stains as required on human and animal models
Perform other standard histological techniques and tissue-based analyses such as processing, embedding, microtomy and cryostat frozen sections
Teach DFHCC clients use of the cryostat
Interact with the DFHCC core director regularly for planning, updating and help with technical or administrative issues
