Responsibilities
Resolve the most complex issues related to repair, maintenance and integration of highly sophisticated medical technology systems
Possess expert level knowledge and skills on at least two specialized medical technology device types
Assist in the identification and evaluation of multiple medical technology life-cycle initiatives
Provide incoming equipment inspections, installation, recall & alert activities and calibration & repair of medical devices
Qualification
Required
Associate's Degree and 5 years of experience in Electronic, Mechanical, IT, or Healthcare industry OR High School diploma, Certification from The Association for the Advancement of Medical Instrumentation (AAMI)/ Department of Defense (DOD) and 6 years of experience in Electronic, Mechanical, IT, or Healthcare industry
Valid state driver's license
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Solid computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft software
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to be detail oriented
Human Anatomy and Physiology education completed with 1 year of hire Medical Terminology education completed within 1 year of hire
Advanced Biomedical Equipment Service 'vendor' training (patient monitoring, electrosurgical, infusion)
Preferred
Bachelor's Degree
Military Training in Technical Field Medical Device experience
Licensure/Certification: Certified Biomedical Equipment Technician (CBET) or Certified Laboratory Equipment Specialist (CLES) certification through The Association for the Advancement of Medical Instrumentation (AAMI)
