Peace Corps is seeking Virtual Service Pilot Participants to support Ukrainian youth in career development clubs amidst the ongoing war in Ukraine. The role involves co-facilitating online sessions that help high school students develop employability skills and explore potential career paths.

Responsibilities

Co-assess students’ current knowledge and skill level to establish priority areas for employability skills development club sessions

Co-design or co-adapt a resource pack of at least 15 session plans on topics related to employability

Co-facilitate a 1-hour online club per week for the group of 10–15 students (aged 14–16)

Attend a weekly meeting with the Ukrainian counterpart for feedback and discussion

Co-facilitate club meetings and include cultural events on topics, such as American holidays and historical events

Required

Must be at least 18 years of age

Must be a U.S. citizen

Bachelor's degree in any field

1 year working with youth (aged 14–16) in some capacity, such as a teacher, counselor, mentor, coach, or volunteer

Career consulting for youth

Flexible, strong cross-cultural agility, high tolerance for ambiguity, able to work independently, resourceful, creative, and genuinely motivated and capable to serve virtually

Access to a computer, internet, and telephone in order to enable direct engagement with the Peace Corps overseas office and the Host Country Counterpart assigned by the host country partner
