Akila North America is seeking a Technical Integration Engineer to join their growing integration and delivery team. This role is essential for ensuring seamless integration of the Akila EMS module into clients’ ecosystems, involving hardware onboarding, IoT communications, and dashboard setup.

Responsibilities

Evaluate customer needs and collect equipment inventories (HVAC, meters, gateways, sensors,etc)

Define hardware and communication specifications for EMS integration

Develop and maintain integration checklists and documentation

Work closely with metering hardware partners during project design, installation, and commissioning

Coordinate with customer technical teams to validate metering architecture, data availability, and integration requirements

Support troubleshooting and alignment between field installers, metering vendors, and Akila platform integration workflows

Oversee the sourcing, selection, and qualification of sensors

Conduct technical assessments of sensors (capabilities, protocols, requirements, interoperability)

Identify, compare, and assess sensors, meters and IoT devices to answer customer’s need

Support feasibility studies

Oversee network configuration

Set up cloud configuration and secure communication channels

Configure IoT devices and ensure stable data transmission using defined protocols

Define and configure Power BI dashboards for EMS insights and reporting

Develop dashboards for customer-specific needs

Ensure data accuracy, KPI relevance, and user-friendly visualization

Configure equipment and building structure within the Akila platform

Set up energy meters structure, data hierarchies and monitoring points

Define energy flows and energy-saving configuration elements
