Responsibilities
Install, remove, inspect, and exchange various types of electric utility meters and modules
Identify and report any/all hazardous working conditions, including but not limited to those that prevent the safe service of a meter
Adhere to performance standards in a safe manner
Respond to the needs of all customers with professionalism
Follow all Standard work procedures at all times
Comply with all company and client safety procedures at all times
Some overtime and weekend hours may be required
Qualification
Required
Driver's License
Must be 18 years of age or older
Must have previous Utility experience
Self-motivated with ability to work with little direct supervision
Strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task
Ability to read meters and willingness to learn to operate new equipment and implement new procedures
Ability to comprehend new hand-held technology, i.e., Cell Phones, GPS, PDAs, Digital Cameras
Strong Directional Skills: Ability to read and understand maps via GPS instruments and websites
Ability to read written instructions, write legibly, understand verbal instruction, make simple computations
Ability to withstand exposure to all kinds of weather while completing the work assignment
Ability to communicate professionally and deal effectively with unexpected situations on customer premises
High School Diploma or equivalent
Valid Driver's License
Must pass pre-employment Drug Screen, Background, and MVR check
Preferred
Maps, GPS Systems: 1 year
Handheld Technology: 1 year
