Machinist/Mill Technician (Weekday Grave Shift)

Responsibilities

Perform a variety of duties and utilize multiple skillsets to set up, machine & inspect complex machined components in a 5-axis environment
Read & interpret drawings, follow process instructions, and monitor machine controllers
Change & monitor cutting tools, part inspection (laser and manual inspection), machine operation, part loading and routine machine maintenance
Support other activities as needed to include but not limited to deburring, part detailing and assembly
Attention to detail and quality is required
Reads and understands blueprints, isometric drawings and work orders
Must be able to recognize and report machine problems and difficulties
Understanding of mill gauging procedures
Receives and carries out directions from designated Supervisors and Production Leads
Must be able to understand and comply with Safety Practices
Sets up scaffolding and safety barriers under direction
Properly executes Hazardous Material Disposal activities
Performs prescribed maintenance on machines and facilities as required
Knowledge of common hand tools
Works in other Cells to support Production as required, ie; Mold Fab or Assembly Cells
Performs on the job training, AS9100, Nadcap training and other training as required
Compliance with 5S, AS9100 and Nadcap Standards and Practices
Performs other duties as assigned
Must work well under pressure, meeting and completing multiple deadlines
Demonstrate cooperative behavior with colleagues and supervisors
Being at work on time and maintaining good attendance is a condition of employment and is an essential function of the job

Required

Due to our ITAR and EAR regulations, applicants must be a US Citizen or of Legal Permanent Resident Status as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b (a) (3)
High School diploma or GED required
Must have effective verbal and written communication skills
Must have the ability to read, understand and follow work orders, written procedures, blueprints, drawings, and other technical documents
Must have effective verbal and written communication skills in the English language
Attention to detail and quality is required

This position may require the ability to obtain a security clearance with special program access

Preferred

Three years (3) of machining/mill experience preferred
Prior experience in composite or fiberglass fabrication and repair is preferred
