Bunnell-Lammons Engineering, Inc. is seeking to hire a full-time Geotechnical / Construction Materials Testing Technician to ensure soil, geosynthetics, and concrete meet construction standards at solid waste construction sites. The role involves working under the supervision of a registered professional engineer and includes monitoring contractor activities and performing onsite testing.

Responsibilities

Visit solid waste construction sites to ensure soil, geosynthetics, and concrete meet construction standards

Work as a team member alongside site managers, general contractors, and engineers to perform required inspection or sampling services

Monitor general contractor activities, onsite testing, and reporting of earthwork and soil construction

Collect concrete, soil, and other site materials for testing to ensure construction standards and specifications are met

Relevant education and experience

Schedule flexibility

Ability to work out of town for several weeks at a time

Can navigate smartphones and computers for communication and recording time worked

Ability to comfortably lift 50 lbs walk on slopes and perform the physical requirements of the position

Efficiently work with hand tools and testing apparatuses

Able to pass a drug screening

Have a valid driver's license and clean driving record

Enjoy working outdoors in all types of weather conditions

Preferred

ACI, NICET, and ICC Certifications are a plus!
