Responsibilities
Perform specific work on maintenance and repair orders with efficiency, adhering to dealership standards
Provide labor and time estimates for additional automotive repairs
Explain mechanical diagnoses and required repairs in a non-technical manner to service advisors and customers
Continuously learn new technical information and techniques through formal training sessions to stay up-to-date with rapidly changing technology
Inspect and test vehicles, recording findings to identify necessary repairs
Test-drive vehicles and test components and systems using diagnostic tools and special service equipment
Diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing automotive vehicle systems, including engine, transmission, electrical steering, suspension, brakes, air conditioning, etc
Communicate directly and effectively with the Service Advisor to ensure customers are informed of any additional services needed. They are also providing an estimate of the time required for other repairs
Execute repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications
Qualification
Required
Authorized to work in the United States
At least 18 years of age
Valid Maine Vehicle Inspection license
Certification from the National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence (ASE)
Possess a valid driver's license and a favorable motor vehicle record
Able to pass a pre-employment background check
Preferred
Nissan experience and certification are a plus, but not required
