Manufacturing Quality Engineer

The Manufacturing Quality Engineer will establish and execute strategies for quality systems and standards, manage supplier quality assurance, and drive continuous improvement across multiple manufacturing sites.

Responsibilities
Design and execute comprehensive plans to improve global quality performance, aligning quality objectives with corporate strategies to maintain a competitive edge in manufacturing excellence
Lead and manage company-wide quality improvement initiatives that focus on enhancing systemic efficiency and achieving process standardization across all manufacturing sites
Develop, implement, and manage global rules, standards, and quality control processes. Administer and continuously enhance the global document and quality management system to ensure seamless operations and compliance
Create, maintain, and update global quality manuals, standards, and procedural documents. Monitor adherence to internal quality regulations, identify gaps, and drive improvements to ensure consistent compliance across all locations
Establish proactive systems to prevent quality issues before they arise. Lead the resolution of customer complaints, ensuring rapid and effective responses, while implementing long-term solutions to prevent recurrence
Build and manage supplier quality assurance systems, including overseeing change management protocols. Conduct advanced quality assessments and evaluations of raw materials to ensure consistency and meet quality standards
Foster cross-functional and cross-site collaboration to share best practices, lessons learned, and innovations in quality management. Drive initiatives to standardize and optimize quality systems across the organization to elevate overall performance
Monitor and evaluate quality testing procedures, identify gaps in testing protocols, and implement improvements to ensure the highest testing standards
Qualification
Required
A bachelor's degree or higher in Industrial Engineering, or a closely related field
At least 3 years of full-time experience in Quality Engineering or a related role within the manufacturing sector
A strong sense of responsibility with the ability to manage tasks effectively, demonstrating persistence and dedication to completing assignments within the given timeframe
A methodical, detail-oriented approach to managing multiple tasks or projects simultaneously while maintaining high-quality standards
Proactive mindset with a forward-thinking approach to identifying opportunities for improvement, anticipating potential challenges, and driving process enhancements even in the absence of immediate issues
Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities, with an organized approach to addressing complex issues
Exceptional proficiency in documentation, reporting, and presentations, with advanced skills in PowerPoint, Word, and Excel
Exceptional communication skills with the ability to work effectively and collaboratively with global teams, suppliers, and customers from diverse regions
Preferred
Significant experience in PV industry certification and auditing bodies, with a deep understanding of compliance frameworks and assessment processes, is highly preferred
Strong understanding of quality management principles, process auditing, root cause analysis, corrective/preventive actions implementation, and continuous improvement methodologies
Experience with global quality systems and the ability to implement and monitor compliance across multiple manufacturing locations
Experience in managing supplier quality, overseeing change control procedures, and leading advanced material qualification processes to ensure pre-validation and high standards across the supply chain
Experience in customer complaint management, including the ability to respond quickly to customer quality issues, implement preventive actions, and drive organizational improvements to prevent future claims
Proficiency in statistical tools, quality methodologies, and software such as Six Sigma, Minitab, JMP, Spotfire, Python, Tableau, and other relevant data analysis tools
Familiarity with quality management certifications, such as ISO 9001, IATF 16949, and related compliance frameworks
Knowledge or experience in advanced optimization techniques, simulation modeling, and data analytics - Industrial Engineering, Operations Research (IEOR)
Multilingual abilities, with proficiency in Korean or Mandarin being a plus
