ServiceMaster Restore® is seeking a detail-oriented and organized billing/payroll processing specialist to join their finance team. The role involves creating and sending invoices, processing payments, and ensuring accuracy in financial transactions while collaborating with various departments.

Responsibilities

Prepare, issue, and send invoices to customers for services through Quick Books Online

Receive, post, and reconcile incoming payments from customers. This also involves verifying the credibility of payments and managing the status of accounts

Maintaining accurate and up-to-date customer and client information, including updating changes and balances in accounts receivable

Investigate and resolve billing discrepancies, errors, or customer complaints

Assist with collections on past-due accounts and generate financial reports on billing activity

Work closely with other departments like sales, customer service, and accounts receivable to streamline processing and ensure accuracy

Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and internal controls related to accounts payable

Maintain confidentiality of financial information and adhere to data security protocols

Required

High school diploma or equivalent

Proven experience as a billing specialist or in a similar role

Proficiency in using accounting software and MS Office applications, particularly Excel

Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry

Excellent organizational and time management skills

Ability to work independently and meet deadlines

Effective written and verbal communication skills

Knowledge of accounts receivables and payroll best practices

Familiarity with relevant regulations and compliance requirements

Preferred

Associate's/Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field is a plus

Experience with QuickBooks Online required
