Responsibilities

Organize and deliver basic general, behavioral, and psychiatric nursing care to patients, following the Mental Health Program Guide, policies, procedures, and regulations

Administer care based under the clinical direction and delegation of the Registered Nurse (RN)

Support daily health care operations, including assisting the efficient functioning of the care team

Work closely with the health care team to address ongoing patient needs and foster a collaborative and supportive environment

Promote the efficient, appropriate, and cost-effective use of health care resources in all aspects of patient care

Adhere to all relevant regulations, policies, and procedures in the delivery of care within a correctional health care setting
