Senior IT and Desktop Support Technician at HEROIC Cybersecurity

HEROIC Cybersecurity is seeking a Senior IT and Desktop Support Technician to help manage IT operations for their clients in the Monterey Bay area. The role involves hands-on management and support of clients’ IT systems, including hardware, software, and networking support in a mixed Windows environment.

Cyber Security

Responsibilities

Maintain and administer hundreds of computer systems and related computing environments including computer hardware, servers, software and networking devices
Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to hardware, software, and networks
Work closely with the remote helpdesk team to resolve tickets
Computer Installations and Imaging
Maintain IT asset inventory and documentation of system configurations and processes
Software Management & Installations
Network and networking device troubleshooting
Participation in periodic security audits, accountable for ensuring security controls are adhered to, systems are secure, and unauthorized access is prevented
Assist in documentation and implement IT policies and procedures

Required

BS/BA Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or comparable experience/certifications in an IT related field
Minimum 5 years of experience as experience in IT support, system administration, or related technical roles
Well versed in a broad set of technologies including networking, storage, service desk, cybersecurity, virtualization, cloud infrastructure (IaaS, PaaS), etc
Microsoft Windows, Linux
Active Directory, Office365
Enterprise Networking
Virtual environments
Storage technologies
Endpoint Management, Computer Imaging
Experience deploying and supporting cloud-based applications
Knowledgeable with cybersecurity best Practices, HIPAA, and/or HITECH requirements
Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Excellent English verbal/written communication and interpersonal skills

Preferred

Healthcare-related IT Experience and/or industry knowledge is a plus
Experience working with remote/offshore teams
Project Management Training or experience (including software) preferred
Background working with an MSP or MSSP environment is an added advantage
