Responsibilities

Conduct thorough inspections of civil works and concrete structures to ensure compliance with project specifications, codes, and standards
Perform material testing and analysis, including concrete strength tests, slump tests, and other relevant assessments
Monitor construction activities to ensure adherence to quality control plans and procedures
Identify and document any defects or non-conformities, and work with the construction team to implement corrective actions
Review and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and technical documents
Maintain detailed inspection records and prepare comprehensive reports on findings
Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and contractors to address quality-related issues and provide recommendations for improvement
Ensure compliance with safety regulations and promote a culture of safety on the job site

Required

At least 5 years of experience in quality inspection, with a focus on civil works and concrete
Strong knowledge of construction materials, methods, and industry standards
Proficiency in using inspection tools and equipment
Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Valid driver's license and ability to travel to various job sites as needed
Regular, reliable attendance
Work productively and meet deadlines timely
Communicate and interact effectively and professionally with supervisors, employees, and others individually or in a team environment
Perform work safely and effectively. Understand and follow oral and written instructions, including warning signs, equipment use, and other policies
Work during normal operating hours to organize and complete work within given deadlines. Work overtime and weekends as required
May work at various different locations and conditions may vary

Preferred

Certification from the American Concrete Institute (ACI) is preferred
Additional certifications in quality control or construction management
Experience with large-scale construction projects
Familiarity with construction management software and tools
