Responsibilities
Develop and execute a comprehensive technology strategy that aligns with the business unit's goals and the overall company vision
Stay at the forefront of emerging technologies, particularly in AI, and identify opportunities for innovation that can provide a competitive advantage
Partner closely with product management to advance the product roadmap, ensuring timely and high-quality delivery of new features and products. Drive the infusion of AI (GenAI and Machine Learning) across the product portfolio and contribute to the roadmaps for our product groups and customers
Create and maintain a clear technology roadmap that supports the product roadmap and future growth
Collaborate with other technology leaders across the company to contribute to and leverage our global platform, ensuring consistency and efficiency
Represent Cotality's technology capabilities to key strategic clients and partners, driving business growth and major vendor relationships at the executive level
Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, continuous learning, and accountability within the engineering organization
Attract, retain, and develop top engineering talent. Provide mentorship and coaching to engineering leaders and individual contributors
Delegate effectively and empower your teams to make decisions and take ownership of their work
Lead AI transformation into an AI native Software and Product development process
Plan and execute across a matrix of technology and engineering teams to deliver capabilities for Mortgage as well as the Global Cotality business
Oversee the operational responsibilities of the application landscape, ensuring scalability, reliability, security, and minimizing technical debt
Create and manage the technology budget for Mortgage Engineering, optimizing resource allocation for maximum impact
Identify and mitigate technology-related risks, including cybersecurity threats and regulatory compliance
Govern strategic vendor relationships to ensure quality, reliability, and alignment with enterprise goals
Measure team and application performance through a set of KPIs that manage the health and delivery of software
Qualification
Required
Proven ability to lead, inspire, and motivate a large engineering organization with urgency and empathy
Ability to think strategically and translate business needs into a clear technology vision
Excellent communication skills with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences
Strong understanding of business principles and the ability to make technology decisions that drive business value
Exceptional problem-solving and critical-thinking skills
Deep understanding of business goals, be able to translate them into a technology strategy that drives both business and technology objectives
Stay current with industry trends, skills, and patterns for implementing AI first solutions
Understand how to leverage AI and data to create more intelligent applications and more efficient processes
An understanding of cyber security best practices as well as developing within regulatory frameworks to manage risk
Understand how to build cloud native applications for maximum scale and availability. Be able to build and execute a roadmap that will modernize legacy applications across a number of architectures and technologies into a cloud native end state
Preferred
10+ years of experience in technology leadership roles, with a significant portion in a senior executive capacity (e.g., CTO, VP of Engineering)
Awareness and/or hands on experiences within the Financial Services or Information Services industries
Experience leading technology for a large-scale business or product line, ideally with revenues exceeding $500M
Proven track record of success in a product-centric organization, with a deep understanding of the product development lifecycle
Demonstrable experience in leveraging AI and machine learning to drive product innovation and business outcomes
Experience in creating a culture where high-quality code, robust architecture, and continuous improvement are valued
A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is highly desirable
