They are seeking a part-time Garnishment Assistant to support a growing Garnishment practice with a law firm in downtown Baltimore. The role involves managing and processing garnishment orders while collaborating with Garnishment Counsel, clients, and other stakeholders.

Responsibilities

Review and enter new case information into the database

Draft answers for all no-asset cases; review and auto-import into NetDocs document management system

E-file and mail answers for no-asset cases

Scan and approve cases in NetDocs

Handle incoming calls from clients’ customers, outside attorneys, and courts

Perform administrative tasks, including adding case information to the database

Maintain in-office presence for team collaboration and document review prior to court filing

Open, sort, and distribute department mail

Qualification

Garnishment experienceDocument management systemsMicrosoft Office proficiencyCommunication skillsDetail-oriented

Required

Bachelor's degree preferred; relevant experience may substitute for degree

1–3 years of collections and/or garnishment experience preferred

Prior law firm or legal experience is a plus

Familiarity with document management systems (NetDocs preferred)

Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) and Outlook

Highly detail-oriented and organized; able to meet daily deadlines

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Ability to maintain strict confidentiality

Demonstrates critical thinking, problem-solving, and sound judgment

Professional interpersonal skills and strong customer service orientation
