Volex is a bank seeking a Receptionist to provide a warm greeting to customers and visitors. The role involves directing visitors, answering phone calls, maintaining lobby security, and ensuring a welcoming environment.

Responsibilities

Readies the lobby for business opening and unlocks the door by business hours start time

Provides a prompt and warm greeting upon the arrival of a visitor. Inquires as to how we may help them. If there is going to be a short wait, offers a seat, coffee/water and seeks out someone who can assist them. When someone is available, directs the visitor to the appropriate staff person

Promptly answers the phone. The goal is to answer incoming calls by the third ring. Upon determining the nature of the call, transfers call to appropriate party. In the event that the party is not available to take the call, obtains permission to put the call in the party’s voicemail or to take a message

Maintains security by following procedures, monitoring the logbook and issuing visitor badges

Maintains the cleanliness of the lobby area during operating hours

Sorts mail and receives deliveries. Notifies recipients of package deliveries

Performs a variety of clerical task as assigned

Ensures confidentiality is maintained at all times

Responsible for successfully completing all required training (compliance and other)

Conducts oneself in accord with the Bank’s Core Values
