Responsibilities
Provide innovative solutions within a diverse Enterprise environment with multiple, cloud services and on-premises infrastructure components
Analyze current technologies used within the organization and determine ways to improve performance and provide stability to backend services
Collaborate with Information Technology professionals to ensure proper infrastructure components are designed, delivered, managed, and working as designed for projects or operations
Apply various methodologies and frameworks when leading modernization or upgrade initiatives, ensuring alignment with organizational goals
Provide leadership and subject matter expertise in the administration, maintenance and support of numerous backend systems that support the agencies application development, design, security, integration and desktop infrastructure
Direct and manage the workload of team members and manage the on call support functions for the operations team
Gather information from team members constructively, fostering collaboration and trust rather than conflict
Guide the team and contribute directly to technical problem-solving
Document and monitor requirements needed to institute proposed updates or new services
Project for possible challenges on constraints including risks, time, resources, and scope changes to the project
Work closely with the supervisor and project teams to successfully monitor the progress of initiatives, provide detailed specifications for proposed solutions, and define clear goals for all aspects of a project and manage their proper execution
Direct a small team in completing tasks, improving on operational support or maintenance, and document processes as needed
Demonstrate initiative, accountability, and the ability to communicate progress without requiring repeated follow-up and maintain hands-on technical involvement to ensure timely and successful outcomes
Serve as a technical lead for backend infrastructure services including Active Directory services, Azure subscriptions, DHCP, and networking protocols and services
Provide third level technical support functions for the Virtual Desktop Infrastructure, monitoring tools, multi-factor authentication, storage and backup, and Power Shell scripting

The technical lead will have experience analyzing new and current technologies used within an organization with the ability to document and recommend solutions to improve on performance, stability, and cost savings to the agency (7+ years)
The qualified candidate will have experience leading a project team as a technical expert in system implementation (7+ years)
Expert level system administration skills for Microsoft Windows servers (10+ years)
The candidate must have high-level knowledge of Omnissa Horizon and vSphere (5+ years)
Expert level experience in the MS Windows server administration including all current supported OS versions (10 years)
Active Directory Group Policy implementation and troubleshooting (10 years)
Expert knowledge in supporting certificate services (7 years)
Expert experience in implementing technology best practices in an organization (7 years)
MS Visio - Proven competencies in documenting infrastructure components for complex systems (7 years)
Expert knowledge in configuring LDAP (7 years)
