Responsibilities
Responsible for providing leadership for the division's overall supply chain operations
Collaborates with the Vice President, System Supply Chain Operations, market/region leadership, Regional Directors, and customers to design and execute cost-effective supply chain strategies
Develops and retains talent of the regional directors and facility directors of supply chain, aligning system best practices across the division
Engages with key market executives to strengthen relationships among supply chain, clinical and non-clinical operations, and finance
Promotes the delivery of the lowest total cost of supplies, services, and equipment while supporting clinical, functional, operational, and quality criteria
Establishes professional relationships with executives, physicians, clinicians, and other key leaders to ensure effective communication and collaboration for executing projects
Provides leadership in supply chain workforce development and planning, supporting diversity, succession planning, and training across the division
Performs management functions including goal setting, performance reviews, employee relations, training, and career development for direct reports
Creates opportunities for collaboration across facilities within the division and the system, serving as a conduit between facilities, regions, the division, and corporate to execute initiatives successfully
Provides strategic input and direction to support capital projects from proposal through deployment of assets, identifying opportunities for bulk purchases
Provides reporting to division leadership at appropriate intervals, sharing progress in savings and operations goals and targets
Analyzes operations and non-labor expenses, providing direction and support for achieving operational excellence by implementing and aligning system best practices
Partners with the Director of Value Analysis around processes including new product introduction, utilization review, contract compliance, and standardization of products
Maximizes the value of purchased services through alignment with system processes, supporting evaluation of use, setting and measuring metrics, and leveraging relationships to ensure quality and lowest cost of services
Directly manages Regional Directors and other assigned personnel within the division
Works closely with VP, System Supply Chain Operations, and market/region CFOs to set strategy and goals for savings and operations within the division aligned with corporate initiatives
