Responsibilities

Prepare detailed cost estimates by reviewing engineering drawings, specifications, bills of materials, and routing information

Evaluate labor, materials, equipment usage, and overhead to determine total manufacturing costs

Collaborate with engineering, production, purchasing, and finance teams to collect and verify cost data

Estimate costs during early-stage design and prototyping for new product initiatives

Maintain and update cost databases, estimation tools, and historical cost records

Identify opportunities for cost savings and process efficiency improvements

Support make-or-buy decisions through cost comparisons and vendor analysis

Ensure compliance with internal cost standards and relevant customer and industry requirements
