Prior exposure to academic, journalistic, or analytical writing through coursework or independent work
Strong reading comprehension and written communication skills
Interest in ethics, law, politics, culture, or social issues
Willingness to engage seriously with ideas and feedback

Writing samples are not required but are strongly recommended
