Wire Harness Design Engineer

They are seeking a versatile Wire Harness Design Engineer who will collaborate with clients to develop comprehensive wire harness design packages ready for manufacturing.

Responsibilities
Collaborate with clients to gather and understand design requirements for wire harnesses
Review and finalize any missing design inputs, ensuring all specifications are accurately captured
Utilize industry-leading Cadonix Arcadia software tools to create detailed wire harness designs and documentation
Ensure that every design complies with the relevant industry standards and client specifications
Work closely with manufacturing teams to provide necessary support during the production phase
Conduct design reviews and incorporate feedback to optimize designs for functional performance, reliability, and cost-efficiency
Maintain thorough documentation throughout the design process
Work in a team environment to develop and refine internal processes to improve design quality
Qualification
Required
BS degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field
Minimum of 5 years of experience in wire harness design
Familiarity with 3D CAD or Electrical Harness Design software (Solidworks Electrical, Zuken, Siemens Capital, etc.)
Experience with component selection and generating schematics and harness drawings
Strong understanding of electrical first-principles, RF/ EMC considerations, wire routing, and wire harness assembly techniques
Familiarity and experience with industry standards and regulations related to wire harness design (e.g., UL, IPC, SAE)
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with clients and internal teams
Detail-oriented mindset with a focus on delivering high-quality designs on schedule
Due to applicable export control laws and regulations, candidates must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (i.e., current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum
