Electrical I&C Engineering Supervisor, Nuclear

They are seeking an experienced Electrical I&C Engineering Supervisor to supervise a team of engineers and drive the design and development of electrical systems and instrumentation/control for nuclear power generation facilities.

Responsibilities
Lead and supervise a team of engineers at varying levels of expertise, coordinating and directing their work on complex electrical and I&C design tasks within nuclear power projects
Establish project scope, allocate resources, and set deliverables as the primary lead on projects or proposals, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and client expectations
Engage with clients in technical discussions to clarify design inputs, task scopes, and methodologies, while effectively communicating project results and potential contract adders
Monitor and evaluate the performance of team members, providing guidance and recommendations for professional development and training
Drive innovation by advising on the development of new engineering methods and participating in both short and long-term strategic planning
Review and assess complex calculations and design deliverables, utilizing mature business judgment to devise practical and cost-effective solutions
Foster clear communication across all levels of the organization and with clients, ensuring the smooth collaboration necessary for project success
Assemble and lead cross-disciplinary teams for the execution of complex engineering tasks within major projects
Qualification
Required
Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Systems Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field
Minimum of 10 years of progressively responsible experience in commercial nuclear environments, specifically in electrical or I&C design, analysis, or engineering
Solid understanding of multidiscipline knowledge and quality management principles and practices
Professional Engineering License is required
Proven ability to communicate effectively in both written and verbal forms, with a strong sense of urgency and commitment to producing high-quality results
Demonstrated confidence and decisiveness in making technical and business decisions
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, CAD software, and Electrical System Design software
Willingness to travel occasionally as required
Candidates must be legally authorized to work permanently in the United States; sponsorship is not available
Preferred
Previous experience in a consulting engineering environment is highly desirable
