Responsibilities
Administering the medication safety program on behalf of the Department of Pharmacy
Reporting
System and process evaluation
Formulation of recommendations and initiatives
Coordination of intervention strategies
Monitoring of activities related to medication safety
Functioning as a liaison between pharmacy, nursing, medical staff leadership, and quality personnel
Supervising Pharm.D. students
Teaching pharmacy interns, undergraduate and graduate students
Providing educational programs for hospital staff (physicians, nurses, and pharmacy staff)
Qualification
Required
This position must be a licensed pharmacist in good standing with the Ohio Board of Pharmacy
A Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy or Doctor of Pharmacy degree (PharmD) is required
Preferred
An advanced administrative degree (M.S., MHA, MPH, MBA) and/or prior medication safety experience is preferred
Post-graduate residency training and a significant track record in scholarship and teaching are preferred
