Responsibilities
Oversee all maintenance activities for the facility
Lead maintenance programs, manage vendor relationships, and implement strategies that ensure operational continuity, safety, and cost-effectiveness across our facilities
Day-to-day cleaning, and deep cleaning of all areas of the facility, repairs, preventive maintenance and in-house projects for facility equipment and structures including electrical, mechanical, HVAC, plumbing, carpentry, and other maintenance work as required
Plan and schedule maintenance work including ordering materials, maintaining the spare parts inventory, coordinating with other departments and managing contract personnel when utilized
Oversee the entire maintenance crew, taking care of the facility inside and out
Develop, implement, and oversee preventive and predictive maintenance programs for all mechanical systems
Ensure adequate staffing levels, interviewing, maintaining documentation and taking disciplinary action if appropriate, and conducting employee performance evaluations
Manage all documentation for personnel, equipment, and work orders
Diagnose complex system failures lead to troubleshooting efforts, and ensure timely, effective repairs
Manage department expenses and assist in the annual preparation of the department budget
Qualification
Required
Minimum Five (5) Years maintenance and supervisory experience in a corporate or institutional setting, preferably with a Racetrack and/or Gaming background
Must possess thorough knowledge of techniques and crafts involved in preventative maintenance and construction
Must have experience operating maintenance vehicles
Must be proficient in HVAC, carpentry, electrical and plumbing maintenance. Certification preferred
Strong computer skills, proficient in Microsoft Office products
Ability to read, write, speak, understand or communicate in English sufficiently to perform the necessary functions of this position
Must have a valid driver's license; CDL Certification preferred. Must meet the requirements of company Motor Vehicle Record Policy
Must be able to lift Fifty (50) pounds and work in all weather, including extreme conditions
Must be able and willing to climb ladders and scaffolding
Must be able to walk, sit, kneel, and stand for extended periods of time without difficulty
Must be able to work a flexible schedule based on business needs which includes days, evenings, nights, weekends and holidays
Must be able to obtain and keep a License issued by the Maryland Racing Commission and the Maryland State Lottery Agency required of all gaming establishment employees
Preferred
Trade School or Associates Degree preferred. Special training in lieu of degree may be accepted
