Responsibilities

Lead traffic engineering projects, including planning, design, and implementation

Perform advanced traffic operational analysis using tools such as Synchro, HCS, VISSIM, and other modeling software

Prepare and review traffic impact studies, signal design plans, and roadway safety analyses following NJTA, NJDOT and MUTCD standards

Develop traffic control plans, detour plans, and transportation management strategies for public and private sector projects

Coordinate with NJDOT, NJTA, local agencies, and stakeholders to deliver successful projects

Prepare detailed reports, presentations, and documentation for clients and management

Required

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering with a focus on Transportation or Traffic Engineering plus 6 years of traffic engineering experience, including project leadership or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education

Professional Engineer (PE) license in NJ is required

Experience in traffic analysis and design software (Synchro, HCS, VISSIM, AutoCAD/MicroStation)

Experience with NJDOT standards, MUTCD, and AASHTO guidelines
