Responsibilities

Serve as the technical authority and primary Salesforce platform owner across Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Data Cloud, Experience Cloud, and related integrations
Ensure all solutions delivered—internally or via managed services—align with platform strategy, scalability, performance, and long-term maintainability
Act as the platform advocate , challenging solutions that are misaligned, overly complex, or not built to scale
Partner with the Business Solutions Lead to turn business requirements into vetted, scalable technical designs
Oversee and guide Thunder’s solution architect, technical lead, and developers, providing architectural direction and being a point of escalation
Conduct technical design reviews , Apex/code reviews , and ensure adherence to best practices and Salesforce limits
Provide clear architectural choices (Option A vs. B), articulating impacts to downstream systems, performance, and maintainability
Drive throughput and sprint velocity across managed services teams—your success in the first 30/60/90 days is measured heavily on increasing delivery speed
Ensure commitments are met within sprints, remove blockers, and enforce accountability with external teams
Help strengthen CICD and environment management without making it the core focus of the role
Oversee architectural governance for integrations supporting mobile and web companion apps (React Native front end with Salesforce as backend)
Ensure integrations are performant, efficient, and do not introduce overly chatty API patterns or strain platform limits
Ensure the platform is configured for growth, reliability, and alignment with enterprise strategy

Required

Deep technical background with Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, and ideally Data Cloud (willing to learn if not yet hands-on)
Strong understanding of Experience Cloud
Ability to read and assess Apex, LWC, integration patterns, data model design, asynchronous processing, and platform limits
Strong understanding of Salesforce best practices, scalable architecture, and governance
Proven experience as a Salesforce Technical Lead, Senior Developer, or Platform Architect
Experience overseeing distributed/offshore teams and ensuring quality delivery
Ability to drive sprint outcomes, improve throughput, and set engineering standards
Strong understanding of CICD concepts (but not required to build pipelines yourself)
