Responsibilities
Perform all general preventative maintenance
Perform routine maintenance on all HVAC, electrical and plumbing systems
Work in all areas of maintenance including, but not limited to, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, refrigeration, masonry, carpentry, ventilation, and renovations
Maintain facility grounds to include mowing, trimming, snow and ice removal
Maintain detailed tool and supply inventories
Responsible for maintaining various logs, charts, and completion of purchase orders for the department
May oversee inmate work crews
Will perform other jobs as assigned
Qualification
Required
Graduation from a standard four (4) year high school or GED or four (4) year apprenticeship program or two (2) year post secondary technical school
Four (4) years of full-time or equivalent part-time paid experience in heating, cooling, ventilation or the mechanical or building trades such as plumbing, electrical, carpentry, plasterer, painter, welder, machinist, mechanic or masonry work
Specific positions may require certification from a federal EPA approved testing organization as a certified technician required by the clean Air Act on refrigerant recycling
