AVP of Information Technology

My Community Credit Union is seeking an AVP of IT who will manage and maintain their technology applications, systems, and infrastructure. This hands-on leadership role oversees IT operations and security while collaborating with internal teams and third-party partners to implement projects and optimize processes.

Responsibilities

Lead, mentor, and manage assigned IT team members, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture
Develop and implement training programs to enhance the skills and capabilities of assigned IT staff
Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback to ensure continuous improvement
Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of the credit union’s network infrastructure
Ensure network security, reliability, and scalability to support business operations
Monitor network performance and troubleshoot issues to minimize downtime
Monitor communications performance and troubleshoot issues to minimize downtime
Manage the installation, configuration, and maintenance of servers, databases, and other critical systems
Ensure system security, data integrity, and compliance with industry standards and regulations
Implement disaster recovery and business continuity plans
Ensure that all IT assets are up-to-date, secure, and functioning optimally
Manage the deployment and maintenance of hardware and software assets
Oversee the helpdesk operations to ensure timely and effective resolution of IT issues
Implement and manage ITSM tools to streamline incident management and change management processes
Develop and maintain reporting mechanisms for incident management and change management to ensure transparency and continuous improvement

Required

Minimum of 7 years of experience in IT, with at least 2 years in a leadership role
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field
Strong knowledge of IT security, network and systems administration, hardware and software management, and ITSM
Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Experience with AWS technologies
Experience with Microsoft 365 tools, technologies, and platform
Experience with Fortinet SDWAN, MFA, Conditional Access, Meraki, and Firewalls
Proficiency in scripting languages such as PowerShell, Python, etc
Experience with Genetec Administration, Halo ITSM Administration
Experience with Huntress, Datto, Auvik, Ring Central, and SentinalOne
Knowledge of Fortinet SDWAN and firewalls
Prioritize and escalate outstanding issues and manage user expectations
Effectively provide technical support within established KPI's and SLA's
Manage patch management and security vulnerability maintenance
Manage antivirus control software and security updates

Preferred

Experience in the credit union or financial services industry is highly desirable
Master's degree preferred
