The role involves collaboration with various teams to ensure designs are both functional and visually appealing, while managing the entire design process from concept to production.

Responsibilities

Design and develop premium lighting products, balancing aesthetics, performance, and manufacturability

Collaborate with industrial designers and architects to transform concept sketches into engineered solutions

Create and maintain 3D CAD models, detailed drawings, and BOMs

Select and integrate LED light sources, drivers, optics, materials, and finishes that meet performance and design goals

Conduct thermal, electrical, and mechanical analysis to ensure safety, durability, and compliance with standards

Work with suppliers to source premium materials and components aligned with luxury brand standards

Support UL/ETL compliance testing and collaborate with compliance engineers to meet certification requirements

Oversee prototype builds, testing, and design validation to ensure design intent and quality standards are met

Partner with manufacturing and supply chain to ensure designs are optimized for production and cost targets

Stay current with emerging lighting technologies, trends, and materials in the luxury and architectural design markets
