5+ years expCFS is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant with a strong background in the construction industry to join their finance team. This role is critical to ensuring accurate financial reporting, timely month-end close, and effective management of accounting operations including A/P and A/R. The ideal candidate should be detail-oriented and comfortable in a fast-paced, project-based environment.

Responsibilities
Lead and contribute to the month-end and year-end close process, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
Assist with preparing financial statements for multiple entities
Manage intercompany transactions
Prepare and review account reconciliations, journal entries, and accruals
Oversee and support Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions
Collaborate with project managers to ensure accurate cost allocation, invoice coding and cash forecasting
Maintain compliance with GAAP and internal accounting policies
Assist with audits, tax filings, and financial reporting requirements
Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and controls
Mentor junior accounting staff as needed
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
5+ years of accounting experience, with construction industry experience strongly preferred
Solid understanding of job costing and project-based accounting
Hands-on experience with multiple entities, month-end close, AP, and AR
Advanced Excel skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
Preferred
CPA preferred
Experience with Netsuite a plus
