Department Application Specialist - Public Works (1225)
Coconino County Sheriff's Office is seeking a Department Application Specialist to coordinate software applications for the Public Works Department. The role involves managing asset management applications, preparing reports, and ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations.
Law Enforcement
Responsibilities
Implements and coordinates department programs that provide services to the public
Performs a variety of technical duties in the operation of the Public Works Department’s Asset Management Application, such as inventories, work orders and service request management systems
Prepares data and technical equipment using the department software application(s) management system server. This function includes interfacing with required partner software systems
Enter and maintain training, new hire, CDL tracking, and reports in the Asset Management Application
Maintains state database interfaces
Reviews, analyzes and interprets state and federal laws and department requirements
Prepares required reports for state and federal agencies, including the annual Road Data Report (HURF Report)
Plan, evaluate, maintain and prepare reports and documents using the Asset Management Application
Communicates department information to the public, partners and County staff
Support the implementation of policies, procedures and long-term strategies
Provides quality assurance for all manner of data tracked by department
Maintains working relationships with outside agencies and other County departments
Coordinate and schedule sign-making with Department Manager and other Public Works Departments
Maintain accurate inventory records using inventory management software
May assist in training of employees in the Asset Management Applications
May lead projects related to the maintenance and implementation of Department Asset Management Application
Qualification
Required
High School diploma or GED
Four years of professional level experience including two or more of the following: administration of application software; computerized information systems; project planning, prioritizing and scheduling
Any equivalent combination of education, training and experience which demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position
Must obtain an Arizona driver's license by date of hire and maintain it throughout employment
Final job offer will be contingent upon a satisfactory 5-year Arizona Motor Vehicle Report
Preferred
Experience working with software applications or database systems that support road maintenance, traffic control, inventory, or other government asset management functions
Familiarity with the Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices (MUTCD) and general traffic control standards
Experience maintaining inventories, records, or reports using computerized systems in a public sector or regulated environment
