Responsibilities
Prepares fixed asset related journal entries, including additions, depreciation, and disposals
Provides support to address all fixed asset related audit and tax department queries
Reconcile fixed asset subsidiary ledger to general ledger and maintain fixed asset roll forward schedule
Prepares and records asset, liability, revenue, and expense entries by compiling and analyzing account information
Maintains and balances subsidiary accounts by verifying, allocating, posting, reconciling transactions; resolving discrepancies
Maintain general ledger by transferring subsidiary accounts, reconciling entries
Manage general ledger and assist month-end/year-end close processes
Prepare and analyze the monthly budget to actual variance reports per property and department
Research monthly P&L inquiries for forty plus properties
Comply with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) for financial statements
Assist with fieldwork for financial and operational audits
Maintain company accounting procedures and processes
Assist with special projects as needed
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business, or related field
Exceptional knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
Minimum 3 years relevant work experience
Proficient in Microsoft Office with advanced proficiency in Excel
Sage FAS software experience
Oracle NetSuite software experience
Must have keen attention to detail and maintain account balances, financial statements, general ledger and all reports
