Responsibilities

Identifies and reviews new government grants prospects to determine applicable programs and application approaches to present to Management at grants strategy meetings
Leads proposal development and submission for all government grants including drafting and modifying program applications in accordance with funding source instructions, creates outlines of online grant applications, incorporates edits of program and management staff, collects required documents, attachments, and copies, and ensures timely submission
Coordinates with the Finance department on creation of government grants budgets
Develops and implements government contracts reporting system, including researching and authoring standard reports in cooperation with Program Directors, tracks reporting deadlines, and handles report submissions
Supports the process and management of grant agreements and contracts, ensures accurate tracking of contract status, including coordinating the review and execution of grant agreements, distributing executed contracts to SVDP program staff, and tracks reporting and renewal deadlines
Takes a direct role in facilitating and coordinating communication with the Senior Management team and Program Leadership for grant and contract compliance, including changes or updates to contracts and applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations
Manages routine communication by email, phone, or written correspondence with government funders
Collaborates with the Finance and Data departments to complete fiscal and data requests from funders as needed
Records and tracks actions and deadlines related to grants, government agencies, and contracts in NetSuite and create and pull reports from NetSuite as needed, in collaboration with Development department staff
Works collaboratively with the Senior Director, Grant Funding to support government grant contract compliance, including facilitating communication with Program Directors
Facilitates stakeholder reviews to clearly lay out expectations of Program and Administrative Departments in grant management and program delivery
Conducts periodic training to ensure all stakeholders are up to date on rules, regulations, reporting, and any special requirements
Ensures orientation is conducted for all new Program Directors and Administrative staff
Works with the Grant Specialist to collect all required documents, attachments and copies, needed for timely grant submission and ensures internal copies of all grant submissions, reports, contracts and correspondence are properly maintained electronically and in hard copy
Works with the Grants Specialist to ensure that application content to consistent across private and government grants
Supports the Director of Grant Funding with administrative support including schedule coordination, meeting preparation, and all other support as directed

Required

Bachelor's degree
3 years' experience in grants management, including grant writing, full-cycle grant processes, compliance and reporting, and proposal development, required
Highly proficient computer skills and in using Microsoft Office Suite
Very strong writing skills
Strong organizational skills and ability to handle multiple projects and priorities simultaneously
Excellent customer service, oral and written communications skills, with demonstrated high level writing ability (writing samples required)
Self-starter with ability to work both independently and as part of a team to meet deadlines
Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills
Job requires travel between multiple sites. Employee must have access to reliable transportation. Valid Driver's license and adequate insurance coverage is required
