Mid LevelAleto is building a bespoke asset management platform designed specifically for the RIA community. They are seeking a Quantitative Researcher to explore financial data sets, apply statistical analysis, and develop investment strategies.

Responsibilities
Explore and research on vast variety of financial data sets, perform statistical analysis and apply mathematics/machine learning models to predict statistical market patterns
Understand the financial assets and trading market mechanism, construct alpha signals, perform testing on the research ideas based on rigorous theoretical methods
Perform back testing on the investment strategies, pinpoint the assumptions behind each research process to make sure the conclusions are reliable
Proactively explore and identify new alpha opportunities across various asset classes and market conditions
Work with other quant team members, develop research infrastructures, including functional tools for data processing, framework for research idea generation
Qualification
Required
Experience in in-depth data driven research
Strong research and programming skills in Python
Advanced degree in a quantitative subject such as Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, Statistics, or related field from a top ranked university
Experience and background demonstrate strong analytical problem-solving skills in statistical prediction problems
Strong interest in developing systematic trading products in financial markets
Knowledge in financial assets and financial market trading mechanism
Ability to communicate the advanced concepts and complicated ideas in concise and logical way
