Spanish Speaking Behavioral Technician

Centria Autism is looking for enthusiastic individuals to join their team as Behavior Technicians, where you will have the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of children with autism. In this role, you will implement individualized behavior intervention plans and teach essential skills while working closely with children under the guidance of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst.

Responsibilities

Work one-on-one with children, implementing individualized behavior intervention plans under the guidance of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA)
Use evidence-based techniques to teach communication, social, and daily living skills while reducing interfering behaviors
Be patient, compassionate, and able to work well in a team environment
Comfortably perform physical activities such as standing, walking, sitting, grasping, reaching, bending, kneeling, crouching, squatting, lifting, and carrying children or objects that weigh up to 50 pounds

Bilingual in SpanishCPR CertificationFirst Aid CertificationAutismPatientCompassionateLift 50 poundsTeamwork

Required

Passionate about helping children with autism
Patient, compassionate, and able to work well in a team
18+ years of age
High school diploma or GED
Ability to obtain a CPR, First Aid Certification and Tuberculosis test (if you haven't had one in the last year)
Ability to pass a pre employment background check
Ability to move in various positions (sit, squat, bend, etc.)
Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
Bilingual in Spanish

Preferred

Experience working as a: Behavioral Technician, Working in some capacity with children with autism or other learning disabilities, Teacher's Aid, Tutor, CNA, Caregiver or Home Health Aide
