Responsibilities
Conduct comprehensive keyword research using various tools and techniques to identify relevant and high-traffic keywords related to our products/services
Analyze user intent behind selected keywords to align content with searchers' needs and expectations
Regularly update and expand our keyword portfolio to stay ahead of industry trends and search behavior
Conduct thorough competitive analysis to identify strengths and weaknesses of competitors' SEO strategies
Analyze competitor keywords, content, backlink profiles, and on-page optimizations to gain insights and devise effective strategies
Utilize competitive intelligence to develop innovative SEO tactics that differentiate our website in the market
Devise comprehensive and data-driven SEO / AI Search strategies aligned with business objectives
Set clear and measurable goals, and create action plans to achieve these targets within specified timeframes
Continuously monitor industry best practices, algorithm updates, and trends to adapt and optimize our SEO approach
Optimize content and page structure for AI-driven search environments, including Google SGE/AI Overviews, Bing/Copilot, Perplexity, and emerging AI discovery platforms
Conduct content and query audits to identify opportunities for visibility within AI-generated answer panels, summaries, and conversational search results
Implement structured data, schema enhancements, and content formatting practices that improve eligibility for AI citations, featured responses, and answer-based results
Adapt keyword and topic research to focus on question-based search, conversational queries, and AI-inferred user intent to improve discoverability
Monitor and analyze AI search output to identify trends in answer referencing, brand mentions, competitor positioning, and content gaps
Collaborate with copy and web teams to create content that is context-rich, authoritative, and designed for inclusion in AI-generated search responses
Stay informed about algorithm changes, platform updates, and evolving best practices to maintain strong visibility as AI search continues to evolve
Optimize website content, meta tags, URLs, and internal linking structures for improved search engine rankings and user experience
Conduct content audits and develop content optimization strategies based on keyword research and user intent
Implement on-page SEO best practices to enhance the relevancy and crawlability of our web pages
Develop and execute link-building strategies to acquire high-quality and authoritative backlinks from relevant websites
Collaborate with content creators and outreach teams to promote link-worthy content and gain external link placements
Monitor and manage online reputation through brand mentions, press releases, and social media engagement
Conduct regular technical website audits to identify and address issues affecting search engine visibility and performance
Work with the development team to implement technical SEO recommendations and ensure site speed, mobile-friendliness, and security
Implement local SEO strategies to improve the visibility of our business in local search results and directories
Manage and optimize Google My Business listings, ensuring accuracy and completeness of business information
Encourage and respond to customer reviews to build a positive online reputation
Qualification
Required
Proven experience managing SEO campaigns for multiple clients or brands
Strong understanding of on-page SEO: keyword research, title/meta optimization, internal linking, headings, schema, etc
Working knowledge of off-page SEO including link-building best practices and citation management
Proficiency in GEO/Local SEO strategies: Google Business Profile optimization, directory listings, review strategy, NAP consistency
Familiarity with SEO data tools such as Google Analytics, Google Search Console, Google Tag Manager, and Google Business Profile Insights
Experience with SEMRush, Ahrefs, Moz, BrightLocal, or Similar SEO platforms (agency-level preferred)
Ability to audit websites for technical issues: indexing, speed, mobile responsiveness, core web vitals
Understanding of AI search trends and how evolving search engines impact strategy (SGE / AI Overviews)
Ability to analyze performance data and translate insights into clear, client-facing recommendations
Experience building monthly performance reports and outlining next steps based on data trends
Comfortable setting goals, KPIs, and benchmarks for ranking improvements and lead generation
Excellent written and verbal communication skills (client-facing communication is a plus)
Clear, organized reporting and documentation habits; able to track tasks and deadlines in a project management system
Ability to collaborate across teams: web, copywriting, PPC, social, leadership
