Clinical Director, Residential Services
HealthCare Recruiters International is seeking a Clinical Director for a residential Substance Use Disorder (SUD) treatment program located outside of Denver, Colorado. This role involves providing clinical leadership, ensuring compliance with regulations, and overseeing staff performance and quality of care in a treatment setting.
Responsibilities
Provide clinical leadership and direction for inpatient, residential, and detox services
Ensure all clinical services align with evidence-based practices, state and federal regulations, and accreditation standards
Oversee the development, implementation, and ongoing evaluation of clinical programming, treatment modalities, and levels of care
Ensure continuity of care across detox, residential, and step-down services
Maintain high standards of ethical practice and patient-centered care
Directly supervise clinical managers, therapists, counselors, and other licensed clinical staff
Ensure appropriate staffing levels, licensure, credentialing, and scope-of-practice compliance
Provide regular clinical supervision, performance evaluations, coaching, and professional development
Support staff retention through mentorship, training, and fostering a positive clinical culture
Address clinical performance issues promptly and appropriately
Ensure compliance with state licensing requirements, federal regulations, payer requirements, and accreditation standards
Oversee clinical documentation standards and audits for accuracy, timeliness, and medical necessity
Lead quality assurance and performance improvement initiatives
Participate in incident review, risk management, and corrective action planning
Prepare for and lead licensing and accreditation surveys and audits
Qualification
Required
Master's degree or Doctorate in a behavioral health-related field (e.g., Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, Marriage & Family Therapy)
Active, unrestricted clinical license in the state of employment (e.g., LCSW, LMHC, LPC, LMFT, PsyD, PhD)
Minimum 5–7 years of clinical experience in SUD treatment
Minimum 3–5 years of clinical leadership or supervisory experience in inpatient, residential, or detox settings
Strong understanding of regulatory, accreditation
