DC Water provides essential water, wastewater, and stormwater services to residents and visitors in the District of Columbia. The Summer Intern, Labor and Employee Relations will support the Labor Relations and Employee Relations functions, assisting with investigations, CBA management, and providing administrative support.

Responsibilities
Assist with labor and employment investigations, including organizing documentation and preparing supporting materials
Support activities related to collective bargaining agreement (CBA) management and administration
Assist with employee relations matters through research, documentation, and case tracking
Provide general clerical and administrative support to the Labor and Employee Relations team
Help maintain organized records and files related to labor and employee relations matters
Qualification
Required
Demonstrated interest in labor relations or employee relations through coursework, internships, or related experiences
Must be currently enrolled fulltime in an undergraduate or graduate program
Must have at least 30 credit hours complete
Must have a minimum 3.0 grade point average
Strong organizational skills
Strong written and oral communication skills
English
General office conditions
Preferred
Experience working in a government office or a private sector labor environment
Preferred Majors: Political Science, Public Policy, Public Administration, Human Resources, Business, Sociology, Government, Civics, Legal Studies, Law, or similar fields
Strong research skills
